What if I will use it with more weight (8kg or 9kg) than it supports? It's possible or what's the risks?

The weight capacity of B-FLCM-FLN-01 is 5-7.5kg/1116lb and would recommend to use the camera setup weight in this range to get the perfect and steadier shots.

Is it suitable to use it with a camera setup less than 6.6 Ib?

No, it will not work effectively with cameras/camera rigs that weigh less than 6.6lbs.

Will the placid arm work as an stabilizer?

Yes it will. It works to help minimize both vertical and side-to-side vibration.

Is the placid arm already affixed to the vest & system? I'm asking so I wouldn't have to do it myself.

Yes, the Placid arm comes pre-assembled and already attached to the system, so you wont have to set it up yourself.

Flowline StarterBody support rig

Smooth, stabilized shots with comfort that lasts

The Flycam Flowline Starter takes the weight of your camera or gimbal (5–7.5 kg / 11–16 lb) off your shoulders and arms and spreads it evenly across your back, so long shooting days feel lighter. The included Placid 2-axis spring arm adds vertical stabilization, keeping your shots smooth as you move.

NoteIt is recommended to attach the minimum required weight (5 kg / 11 lb) to pull down the balancing rope and ensure proper operation of your Flycam Flowline system.

01Comfort

Long handheld shoots, without the strain

We understand that extended handheld camerawork can be a backbreaker, but a body support rig solves the problem to a great extent. The Flycam Flowline rig takes the weight off your shoulders and arms and distributes it across your entire back, making it convenient to shoot for longer periods without getting tired. With less pressure on your arms, you'll be able to capture more stable and smoother shots.

02Stabilization

Perfect vertical stabilization

The Flycam Placid 2-axis spring arm is the ideal companion to your Flowline rig for smooth shots. It adds extra vertical stabilization and eliminates the vibrations caused by the operator's motion. It comes with two springs for variable payloads, which you can interchange according to the weight of your camera setup. You can balance the setup and adjust the spring tension with the adjustment knob.
