Thoughtful engineering.

The Proaim Powermatic Scissor telescopic camera crane lets you easily capture creative shots usually done with high-end and expensive Technocranes. Extending the scissor arm puts the camera right where you need it.

The flexible motion allows the arm to open 17′ out and then retract back in. It is perfect for tight indoor spaces as well as on-location shoots, and it even fits into a private vehicle.

The new and improved Remote Controller Kit lets you control the speed and damping of your jib with enhanced precision.

It includes a Remote Control and a Controller Box with a V-Mount battery plate to power and drive the jib arm smoothly, linked by the included spiral cable.

  • What’s the lowest height the setup can reach, and how much vertical movement is available at different extension distances?

    The lowest height of the Proaim Powermatic Scissor Pro (17ft) primarily depends on your tripod configuration. Typically, the jib arm operates at around 6.3 ft from the ground, but with the tilt mechanism and underslung gimbal mounting, the camera can be positioned down to ground level for low-angle shots.

    In terms of vertical movement, the available up-and-down travel increases as the scissor arm is extended. At full extension (17 ft), the system can achieve a maximum height of approximately 17.4 ft. Simply put, greater extension provides a wider vertical movement range, with the maximum vertical travel available at full reach.

  • What's the best way to attach Tilta Remote Control Handle for Advanced Ring Grip for RS 2 and RS 3 Pro?

    The Tilta Remote Control Handle for Advanced Ring Grip for RS 2 and RS 3 Pro can attach with a standard NATO rail. It should be possible to mount this handle controller with a NATO rail attachment and an appropriate clamp, such as a Manfrotto Super Clamp.

  • Can speed and damping be adjusted while operating?

    Yes, you can use the BZ-286-00 Bazooka, which supports up to 200kg.
    To use the scissor crane with the bazooka, you will also need the AP-MTCL-SCSR and MA-293-00 accessories.

  • Does "flat base" mean it mounts to a Mitchell base with a locating flange/pin? Can it be mounted to Ronford HD legs?

    No, this jib can only mount on flat base tripod but if your tripod has the Mitchell base than you can convert it in flat base with the help of AP-MTCL-SCSR adapter as it helps to convert Mitchell base to flat base. Here is the link for your reference:

    No, the pan axis is manual and not motorized.
